wanting a new trans

so i have either the T 15 or the T14 3speed trans and looking for a 4 speed. would there be anything i would have to change if i did this or could i use everything from the 3 speed besides the trans or anyone looking to trade a 4 speed for a 3 speed

I found find a T18 it will bolt up to your Dana 20

The easiest swap to get a 4 speed in a stock 1973 CJ would be a T18, either CJ or the Ford version, as it was a factory option between 1972 to 1979. Try these links:

i looked at craigslist and nothing and nothing in the junk yards around here. thats why i was trying to trade it for a 4 speed

Try looking for a sm420, very heavy duty but short enough to fit though you will probably need a drive shaft cut to fit. novaks site has good info on it
