RE: EBAY: Cherokee Rock Crawler

Okay, I'm always surprised when I hear what people here do for a job. You always get kind of an idea of what they might do, but I'm always wrong  .

So, I'll start...I work at a wrecking yard for Semi-trucks (Anderson Brother's Trucking), where I part out the good stuff and either fix or trash the junk.

What do YOU do :?:

THE LINEMAN (Paul Harvey News and Commentary February 3rd, 1986)

What are their thoughts, these hardy souls tangled in knots on top of poles, sweating it out in a blend of blue, doing a job few would do?

What are their thoughts, this galant crew, who risk their lives the long day through, in summer heat or winter snow, taking orders from afar and below?

What are their thoughts, these men of brawn, who joke and swear or hum a song, who know their distance well could be a rubber glove from eternity?

What are their thoughts at the close of day, as they scramble down and put hooks away?

Do they thank God for the heart skipped beat, to feel the earth beneath their feet?

What are their thoughts as they head for home, longing once more to greet their own?

Surely they must feel some delight, knowing they helped turn darkness into light.

Was it? I couldn't think of it being brought up in the past, but I could be wrong.

Either way, lots of interresting jobs out there :D

Thankfully, I'm happily self-employed. I do a number of tings wit me time...

- DIvest in real estate ('cause INvestments are supposed to MAKE money....#%&*#!)
- Strategy ho...I turn corporate strategy tricks for money...all without a pimp
- Working on a start-up business (ironically, with the help of the owner of Jeepaholics.com...and its not even related to Jeeps or motorized transport contraptions of any kind!)
- Make regular attempts at playing hockey (I don't earn me living playing, but I once found a nickel and two pennies on the floor in the locker room so I picked them up and put them in my pocket. Does that count? Does it make me a bad person? I should turn myself in shouldn't I?)
- Aide sheep in escaping from felix_santi's evil government mind control lab...the poor sheep usually need help over the fence. Really!

RE: 33" tires and need a matching rim

I'm the VP of a Defense Contracting firm. We specialize in wheel and track vehicle repair and maintenance for the US Army. I'm proud to say that we play a small part in keeping the boys in green (or desert tan) rolling. Needless to say, business is booming these days. Sand sure is rough on equipment.

RE: Re: transmission

The last time we did this, I replied that I was retired, but had embarked on a second career as the village pest.

I am happy to report that with the passage of time and experience gained, I have advanced to the status of accomplished village pest.
