hello folks gettin ready to replace old carb on 4.2,NEED feed back to make decision on which to buy, weber or motorcraft??thanks all...any and all advice welcome!!

both are good carbs. its your call. the motorcraft will bolt on with less adapters, i think. i know the motorcraft only uses one adapter while my weber came with two so it sat about an inch and 3/4 up from the intake and the motorcraft only sat about an inch higher

I tried both weber and Holley. Didn't like them Offroad. There ok for mild stuff. Just ordered a motorcraft, heard a lot of good things about those. I'll have to wait and see.

That's just my experience of course. Some people like webers and holleys. Wouldn't want to start a carburater war.

I love webers and my yj had one when I bought it but it was the weber 34, which is a piece of junk. I had a Holley and a motorcraft as spares but i grabbed the Holley first because that's what is on the jeep now. The motorcraft is going on the offenhauser intake though for when I swap out the intakes

I have the motorcraft carb and she'll die when it gets steep. I'm not carburetor expert so maybe this problem can be fixed with some tuning.
