Bestop makes replacement seats that fit 1976 to 2006 CJ & Wranglers but to use the seats in a TJ requires an adaptor as the holes in the bottom of the seat do not line up. (Holes in bottom of seat line up with the CJ & YJ floor bracket, not the TJ.) So, if you try to use TJ seats in a YJ an adaptor would be necessary.
