Look to see if the frame vin tag is still there on the left frame horn, just behind the bumper. You can verify if the tub is correct for the frame. Its not uncommon to have a transplanted tub on another frame, but it is nice to find out they match.
I would like to mount a hoop like structure to the back side of the square tube to protect my pitman arm and Astro van box. Plus I have a PTO winch from a heavy wrecker I want to use. It has 1/2" cable so the rating is rather high.
Thanks for the info, I'll check the ebay site. Well these bumpers are all thats in his ebay store.
As far as the box tubing, for what I need some 2 x4 would make mounting easier and I need the added strength. In no way am I passing judgement on this bumper, just my Jeep is pretty heavy by Jeep...

Do an internet search on Jeep brake upgrades. There is a lot if info out there. I used a late 1970's Mercury Marquis 4...
X2 what xjmarc said, front wheelbase stretch not lift.
As far as strength the two boxes are about equal. My TJ is very nose heavy; I have a Cummins 4bt, winch, 1 tons, and max tire is a 41 and the Astro box has worked fine and steers easily.
The two boxes serve two different purposes. The Durango box has a variable ratio and conventional pitman rotation so it is a good upgrade for a stock to 3" stretch WB. The Astro van box is a direct bolt on replacement and is used in longer WB stretches such as 5" or more because it has a reverse...
Well I may not live there currently, but I have and plan to again in the future. I currently live just south of the cheddar curtain near Rockford.
I have not heard of Apple Valley Farms, do they have a site, or where are they located.
