Yeah, I use that stuff. I'm using a set of cheapish ($19 per wiper) Bosch wipers. I put em' on about ... May of this year, right after I bought the Jeep. I have a YJ so my wipers actually rest on the windshield. The wipers still work good.
If you simply cannot find the problem, also remember that you can replace everything in that circuit (the socket, the wiring, the fuses, etc.) very cheaply. Sometimes it's easier to just replace them.
Well... I guess you could say the smoke is a greyish color. It looks more white to me, personally. The Jeep does appear to burn a little oil because I do have to put a little oil into it every few weeks to keep it level. At first I thought the oil was going out of the PCV and into the intake but...
That seems pretty simple to me -- just run a 12v lead from the Acc/Ign switch to the 'remote' pole on the rocker switch (that's the one that would have come from the stalk.)
You didn't give much information so I am going to guess that you have a manual trans and that the Jeep has 150,000 or more miles (but with the engine smoking it doesn't really matter what the mileage is -- that engine needs a rebuild regardless.) I am also going to guess that the Jeep is in fair...
I've got several new issues, looking for some input...
Okay... specs of the Joop are in my sig :-)
First... I checked my dipstick the other day and noticed that there were some small bubbles in the oil. I just changed the oil about 500 miles ago, if that. It was cold when I checked it. This...
You actually forgot situation #3 -- when your oil sender is dead and you're on your way to the auto parts store to get a new one.
That was a scary 30 seconds when I was on the highway and the pressure went straight to 0...
Yeah, who cares if it got a little flattened? They both lived and walked away from it. That in itself is amazing. If it were any other car they would probably be on life support.
Looks like replacement windows are in your future. I dunno if there's anything you can do right now to fix them but any softtop fix is usually just a short-term patch.
At least soft windows are relatively cheap.
I have a '95 Wrangler with the 4cyl/5spd combo. I love it. But I also got an extremely good deal on my Wrangler. I paid much less than it is currently worth on bluebook. If you are tight on cash, trust me when I say that a Wrangler is not the best option right now. Even after I got mine, even...
I have a '95 YJ with the 2.5L, 2" Black Diamond lift, and 31" tires. I have the stock 4.11 pumpkin gears. I built a 3" short ram intake and I swapped a 4.0L throttle body on it. That's all the mods I have for the engine so far. I regularly hit 75mph on flat interstate in 5th gear with no 'help'...
Me too. But still, I was curious to see what it would look like if I ever changed the color. So I fired up GIMP and here's a few I came up with. Click the thumbnails to see the full-size images.
Here's my Jeep as it sits now:
And if I painted it blue:
Or orange:
Or blood red:
Which...
I don't have much to say about the suspension but painting the doors won't be that big of a hassle. For the paint you can just get some black touch-up paint, but a full coat usually looks better. I'll tell you the cheap way to do a decent basecoat/clearcoat job. It'll probably cost you around...
