    turbo/supercharge

Don't. If you're gonna do it, go big and go to a V8. 350 Chevy smallblock for the win. A 6-cyl swap from a 4-cyl isn't really worth the time and trouble. You'll go from a 100hp engine to maybe a 200hp engine if you go with a decent N/A V6 and you're lucky. If you go with a V8 you can go to a...

    Questions about Wrangler vs Cherokee

Basically it's what everyone else is saying here. I currently have a '95 Wrangler and before this I had an '89 Wagoneer Ltd (essentially a glorified Cherokee.) I know from experience that both will do great offroad. The Wrangler seems to be built a little better than the Cherokee, it's more...

    Blower Motor Problems

Right, the resistor pack isn't part of the switch. It's a separate unit that should be on the blower under the dash.

Not like a fiberglass trunk would rattle on, say, your average Honda Civic.

    high oil pressure

If you're positive it's not the sender then I would recommend the oil change as the next step. Before I did my last oil change I was constantly pegging the gauge as far as it could go. After the change it now sits around the 40 range like it should. Sometimes the filters get a little clogged...

Congrats! I want to get a sub at some point. Bass is definitely lacking in Jeeps when you're moving. Then again, all cars built in the classic style are like that. At least ours don't rattle :D

    Higher-pitched whining while driving

They whine if they're low on fluid, I know that. Dunno about if they're going bad. Most power steering pumps do so I would assume Jeep pumps are no different.

    transmission/transfer case

You will most likely need to order it online. It's not something that your local auto parts store is likely to carry (none of ours do.) I don't know if you can use it in the transfer case or not. I would assume so, but I'd wait for someone else to answer that question :)

    New Jeep owner here

If you don't care whether or not your stuff gets stolen, it will get stolen. I'm just sayin'. Whenever I park my Jeep somewhere public for ANY length of time (even five minutes) with the top down I always lock my headunit's faceplate and remote, as well as any other small misc. belongings (even...

I know, but money is a factor. I didn't have $350 to blow on the entire setup at the time. The Quad Pods are also kinda cool: Select Increments 60402S - Select Increments Quad-Pod with Speakers for 76-06 Jeep® CJ-7, Wrangler YJ, TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

I cracked the oil sender housing ... what do I do now?

Okay, I got it fixed. I went to the stealership and they had the fitting for $4.95. The only problem was that they had to have it shipped from Milwaukee and it was gonna take three days to get here (Friday.) So I went back to Auto Zone and pulled the fitting. It turns out they had one that...

I cracked the oil sender housing ... what do I do now?

I'm good. I talked to some peeps over at 4bangerjp last night and they say I can get the brass fitting from the stealership. I'm about to go find out how much it's gonna cost me right now. I'll let you guys know. Thanks!

I cracked the oil sender housing ... what do I do now?

I have a '95 Wrangler with a 2.5L. Today I changed the oil and after doing so my oil pressure gauge bottomed out. I replaced the sensor since the oil pump seemed to be working. Somehow when I was screwing in the new oil sender I managed to crack the housing elbow. Now it spews out oil like a...

Protip: Change the stereo out. I swapped the stocker out for a Sony Drive-S MP3/WMA headunit the first day I had my YJ. Even on stock speakers it made a WORLD of difference. I then replaced the stock domebar speakers with a set of Alpine S-series. Dash speakers will follow but I'm probably just...

    1994 4.0L HO Tuning

What he said. Simply put, if you want V8 power, you're gonna have to swap in a V8. It'll PROBABLY cost more than souping up the 4.0L and it will require some fabwork but it's been proven as a good idea more times than you can count. A good swap for short-wheelbase Jeeps is the Chevy 350...

    Temp Gauge INOP.

It's in the very back of the engine, on top, on the driver's side. It's behind the throttle body and to the left if you're looking at the engine bay from the front, and it's between the valve cover and the fuel rail. It almost sits right up against the valve cover. It looks like a little nut...

Yep, that was the one. I actually made the same mistake as you and changed the front temp sensor first :D After changing the second one it all gets sorted out.

4 cylinder to 6 cylinder swap

Yeah, like jfrabat said, don't dismiss the I4 so quickly. I have one and I've found that you can get a lot more power out of it for very little money. I swapped in a 4.0L TB and made myself an intake with a cone filter. I spent about $100 total for all the parts and tools to do these two mods...
