What trans do I have? Called my local jeep dealer and you have to call up Mopar to order it. Have not done it yet but im pretty sure they run about a hundred bills. Im going with that when i round up some money. Thanks TJ

yes it does smoke when i take the oil filler cap off!!! I dont have a manual to look at yet. Is there a dipstick im missing or how do i check the level of fluid?

Alright i just purchased a 1998 TJ with a 5spd transmission. When i go to cycle back through the gears there is some delay to get it into each gear. Its like the shifter stops and then continues again. Is this normal? Also even with the clutch pedal pushed to the floor are you supposed to...

Would an auto transmission help/hurt in the 4cyl situation?

Im mostly a city driver and dont want to go to extreme. Im thinking it will push 33" tires at max and im assuming this is alright with the 4cyl. Would regearing be necessary? Also were there any SEs that came from the factory with a hard top?
