As far as reliability I have never had an issue. Living in the north we have rust issues but that is every vehicle. If your looking for a JK personally I would look for one that has the 3.6 l engine from what I have read it is a much better engine than the 3.8 I think they made the switch around...

I would ask to see the broken part I don't see why you would need a new arm if the motor is bad unless they are getting some after market that won't work with your arm. Also kinda weird to have 2 motors go bad. Seems more like a wire issue to me. Sent from my Pixel XL using Jeepz.com mobile app

I don't know the YJ that we'll is this carbureted or fuel injection? I know my TJ with 2.5 and 31" tires gets 15 to 17 mpg. With stock gears and motor. I do drive it hard usually keeping the rpm between 2.5 to 4k but I don't seem to have the power issues like you do. Sent from my Pixel XL...

There is some small thing you can do to that 2.5 to gain a little extra power also. I noticed a difference with a better exhaust and CAI. Also you could remove the belt driven fan for some E fans. Sent from my Pixel XL using Jeepz.com mobile app

From what I see online the parts for 4.88 gear set will run $400 plus labor. 4.88 is the lowest you can go in the Dana 35. As far as engine swap your looking at new mounts;engine; transmission;drive shaft. In my opinion not worth the cost to go-to a 6 cylinder may as well above a V8 in it cost...

After market can be better than stock but you will pay for it. I know when we bought our Willy's last year they offered a pioneer speaker upgrade for 900 more. Not worth it. We also got an aftermarket remote start. Paid more than the factory but the range is way better and has 2 way...
