I agree with Jpninpa watch the frames for rot. Specifically near the rear tire where the frame starts to curve up around the axel. A little less rot in the 98 and newer because they started undercoating the frames. Personally I had a 97 with 2.5l and it ran great never gave me problem. Only...

As far as being caught in the rain. Has happened many times when I had my TJ. Remove carpet remove drain holes. Neoprene seat covers are nice but plastic bags work well also. Most important part is a squegee to clean the inside of the windshield for some reason the wipers don't clean the inside...

If you are looking for what I think they are. They are universal just order the length you need. There are down side like you paint being scrathed from placing and removing the magnetic strip. Just lift it then no one can hit it..lol

Personally I like TJ over a YJ. Biggest thing is to look for condition. TJ is known to rust on the top of front fenders and the frame will rot near the rear tire before the frame goes over the axle. I had one years ago but it rusted out. We took the back half of pick box cut the frame and welded on a tongue to connect to the hitch. Use to be able to get construction titles in Pennsylvania but now they made the process very difficult.

Built in air compressor for airing up tires and running some tools for on the trail.

The tax might not be to bad if it has the 2.4 litre engine. If it is Manuel transmission it would have 4:11 rear and the tires look to only be around 31" so it would pull the trailer just not very fast.

Off the wagon back on the bike..lol I went almost 3 years with out a Jeep. Life happens and the Jeep is not very practical vehicle more of a toy. That is one reason why my wife wanted the JKU at least then we can go shopping with more than 2 people and still have room for stuff.

Awesome Jeep and color.. When my wife and I where looking that is what we wanted but could not afford it. So we bought it's little brother JKU willys pkg in fircracker red.

If the rim color matches the Jeep the color code should be on the sticker with tire information. If it's just a rim color oh have no idea but if you take the rim with the color on it to a paint shop they should be able to match it.

Have you checked the track bar bushings?

I have never seen a candian jeep before what is different with the gauges?

I do not know if it would work but best way is to grab a tape measure and start mesureing everything out ..total length of frame and where all the body mounts are located at.
