Jeep Renegade recall - "We forgot to bolt the tow hitch on!"

Looks like the guys at Jeep forgot to put all the bolts in the tow hitch on select Renegades. There should be 6 bolts (three on each side), but some Renegades got out the factory with just one fastener per side.

The defect: the optional trailer hitch assembly may have been attached with only a single fastener per side, not three per side as required.
The hazards: without the proper amount of fasteners, the trailer hitch assembly may separate from the vehicle, and any towed vehicle may no longer be properly connected, increasing the risk of a crash.
Affected vehicles: 2015-2016 Jeep Renegade vehicles manufactured August 25, 2014, to June 25, 2016, equipped with a factory-installed optional trailer hitch package
Number of vehicles affected: 8,561 (United States figure).

It's not the first time a jeep rolled off the production line with mistakes.
Here they sent out a 3 wheeler jeep. Ha ha ha

OK, that would be pretty wild to drive. Not sure about it's offroad prowess though.
