since i was replacing my hub assembly,i just used a good chisel and a 3lb hammer along the hub (just where hub meets the knuckle.) no damage to knuckle if you hold at just the right angle.

she has changed a bit.no more stock bumper,rockers or flares..after bashing the front bumper on a rock/tree,a friend built a simple C channel bumper for me and he also cut off rotted rocker panels and welded on some 2X5 square tubing..fender flares have been replaced with TJ flares.(four rear...

i just did my hub assembly (but on a cherokee,not grand)..it's still the same way.it was my first time too,after figuring out getting the assembly of knuckle it got real easy...3 12 point 13mm bolts,my axle nut was 36mm (should still be the same size) and what ever size the caliper bolts are...

cool thanks. i do have the factory bottle jack and some 4X4 pieces laying around. this is the crossmember/t-case skid.. factory crossmember that has been cut(to reduce thickness),re-enforced and closed back up with 1/2 (?) steel and then skid attached.i've seen it tested and has held up...

i have a custom cross member/T-case skid that i wanna install.when i remove the old one,do i need to support the trans/T-case ? don't own a floor jack and didn't wanna start to do the swap and find out i need something to hold it up..i know i might need a extra set of hands to hold up the...

my thoughts exactly..all it'd take is a hard bump and the one standing up in back would be out and in the mud..(even the one sitting down,specially without doors) nice looking Willys though..

thanks.. all it was,was just removing plastic corner pieces that went from bottom of fender and wrapped around the corner of the bumper.. due to rust..i may end up removing the corner pieces of the rear bumper..

ok it's not a large wood pile but it was taller then the small log i used.

FloridaCherokee1988,thanks..not even close to being done.(just the beginning) i was actually thinking of useing the angled pile of wood to test out max flex.or i might drive down the road to local jeep shop that has a RTI ramp that's free to use.(and if right guy is on,i could find out score...)
