    transmission issues!

    Did you fix the problem yet? I had a faulty (mechanical) fuel pump react this way once. Ran fine at lower speeds, then felt like a bucking bronco when I reached 3rd gear.

    Thanks for your reply Terry. Short term, I just want something that is road worthy and capable of getting me around in the back country without too many mods. My current jeep has a good frame and less rust than this one so I'd purchase this for parts only, but $3200 seems expensive to me...

    So I recently acquired a '77 CJ7 Heep, 304, auto, quadra, fair cond, etc. for $500 to learn about jeeps and off-roading. Motor turns over is all I know about the mechanical cond of my jeep. During my search for a few parts I came across this ad...now I don't know what to do :???: I'm curious...

    Thanks for all the responses everyone! Even the advice from YJ owners is greatly appreciated! ;) I did check the frame out quite thoroughly with a hammer before I bought it...no cracks or broken welds...still has black paint and only minor surface rust in spots. Looks like 2 C-channels welded...
