at 600-ish, this jeep purrs. I put a fresh set of 205 tires n it...nimble...in an unsprung weight sort of way. I like the low seats alot. they sit higher than the oe high back buckets, so I lowered the brackets 2" and I like it.

Ca Loo, Ca Lay O Fribjous Day. I fired the mighty 2.5L .020" over engine up this AM for the first time since April 2009, and let it purr for about 60 seconds... just fixed a couple gas leaks... brake light on dash stays lit and no horn, but everything else appears to be back on line nicely...

appreciate the responses. wire colors are black/red/green/ and pinkish-brown, and it's on a mini connector...doesn't really show signs of wear on the contacts, so I'm prone to think it's for something this jeep doesn't have ie delay or cruise.

can anyone ID this wire? first pigtail off the engine harness as it penetrates the firewall...it's about 3 feet long. I maybe recall unlacing it from around the steering 5 some odd years ago.

I've been wiring here & there as I go, cleaning grounds ect. I just got a couple of low back seats and contrary carpets.

under body is sealed with plastic roof coating. This bad boy has just about been spanked... and about ready to mate back on the chassis for the final downhill frolic. If I ever get that look in my eye again like I'm going to take anything apart "just to see where we're at", somebody smack me.

rear mount parts. the angle is bolted to the valance flange, then the 2 plates get welded to the angle in situ. then a cross piece for the gate hinge

so far I got the metal coated, I'm fabricating parts. there will be more progress pics en route. my mount metal is 3/16", and I want to run across full width with some meat to hinge a drop gate on, so the gate weight is on the body mount structure.
