94 YJ stearing column turn signal cancilating springs

Yep. If you are looking up parts for a YJ steering column, it is called a GM Saginaw column. Same exact internals as found in the 80-94 GM pickups. As well as some Toyotas. The tilt column that I installed in my 87 was from a 93 C10 2wd pickup. The only thing I had to change was the mounting...

    new cam ,lifters, and opda.

They are set at a certain torque. With a hydraulic lifter, if they were too loose, they would do just as much damage as being too tight.

    Engine Or Transmission?

The 5.2L would get my vote. A lot more low end grunt, more bang for the buck if you ask me. Either trans is good. AW4 if you are on the street more, TF999 if you are not. I am contemplating the swap up to a 5.2L once my 4.2L gets tired.

    advice on gears and tires

If you don't want to lose any MPH, or MPG, then don't put the bigger tires on it. When you add a lift kit ad a set of bigger tires on a 2.5L, you are going to lose somewhere. The bigger tires, add more weight and rolling resistance, which will cut into the MPG, doesn't matter what gears you...

    Trailer

Here is one that I painted to match the ride. It's a 5X8, has the same bolt pattern as the YJ 5X4.5, currently has a tonneau cover on it, but this spring I am adapting it to a hard cover to mount an outback tent on it.

    98 wrangler output shaft

Lower bearing on the steering column. Very common problem on the older YJ's, but I have replaced a ffew on the TJ's as well.

    Tire vibration/bounce????

Swap the rear tires to the front. If you still have it in the back, then its not a tire issue. I can tell you that i had the same kind of vibration (bounce) in my 87 YJ, and it ended up being an axle bearing allowing the flex. I put a complete bearing kit in the rear axle and the bounce went away.

Who manufactured this all steel cab?

Yep, I go with the Kelly as well. My dad, bought a new willys cj in 1959, and it had a Kelly full hardtop on it. Ovals in the doors and under the rear windows. Came from the factory with a plow frame. First one in the area. Painted Battleship gray. Hard top was a dealer installed item. But it...

Contour fan upgrade need a step by step please

Yep, that electric fan set up will work just fine. You just need to design a mounting system for it. Run the power thru a relay, preferably a switched relay so that you can manually shut it off when not needed. cause it will come on and drain your battery even when the Jeep is not...

Need help diagnosing a problem with my tj please

sounds like a fuel issue, the first thing that i would check is the fuel filter. That would be the easiest cure. If that isnt it, then its most likely the pump.

    4.2 L I-6 Re-man

I put a crate motor in my 87 YJ. 258CID. 4.2L. I got it from NAPA, although i'm sure you could find one for cheaper, for $2,000. It currently has 12,000 miles on it and it runs great, money well spent. The major reason that i went with NAPA, is that i get a Jobber Discount at my local store...

    1951 Willys Pickup

Sweet looking ride, for a custom pickup. Not worth no where near what he wants for it. If it was in pristine mint condition, i would say around $8,000. But looking at the pics i can see a few major issues,... 1. What frame is it on? Willy's pickups were never on a short wheel base like that...

    CJ7 258 Oil Dipstick Tube?

I believe its just standard 1/4" tubing, wouldnt be too hard to just fabricate your own. Use a 1/4" flat washer to make the stop collar on it, and the weld it on and grind it down to fit. Put an o-ring under the collar for the seal. Make the bends that you need, then cut it to length. You can...

    95 yj oils.. Help?

No way...there isnt a manual trans in a YJ that is supposed to have ATF in it. The Aisin transmissions...AX15 in a 6cyl, and AX5 in a 4cyl, from 90-95 take 75w90 as the choice lube. Some guys run 80w90 because its in the axles, and just easier to keep 1 grade of gear oil on hand. The T-case...

    Broken rear upper shock mount.

get a piece of asbestos cloth, or muffler wrap material from your local auto parts store. and wrap the lines with that. in a pinch i have used an old t-shirt that was soaked in water to protect the lines or anything else that you dont want the welder spatter to come in contact with.

    4.2l HOSES!!!

I have an '87 with the 4.2L and like what was said above, the only vacuum lines that i have left are the vacuum advance on the distributor, and the big line going to the brake booster. In order to do this mod, you have to have a manual cable for your CAD(center axle disconnect) on the front...

    What's the correct gear?

4.56 is the ratio that u want. i have an '87 YJ with 8.5 inches of lift and 35" tires. with 4.56's i turn about 2500 rpms in 5th gear on the interstate at 70 mph. 4.10's will be too high of a gear for the auto, and 4.88's will give you good gears for in the mud but it will be wanting another...

how many lights can a stock alternator handle?

The normal "law" states that it is illegal to have any clear lens light regardless of the wattage that is mounted above the height of the headlights. It might be different in Fla. But I'm sure you will still receive flack over it from the police if you are coming at them with daylighters on your...
