well, with major overheating problems, I was going to wait till a 350 swap was available (money wise) but i might just do the 4.0 head swap. does anyone have a good source for a rebuilt 4.0 head? I have seen them on ebay but for like $400. Any other sources besides local junk yards?

the fan is about 1" away from the radiator. i would like to go electric but it is to cold here to go searching through the yards :shock: what about the generic units sold at auto part stores? (like a 16")

i do plan on picking up a shroud in the spring. i do have a 3 row radiator (the heavy duty cooling option from the factory with the cap offset to the driver's side) anyway, how could i flush out the cooling passages, is there a product out there that might do the trick? thanks!

ok, i'm stumped. I have a "shimmy" or a "vibration" when in 4wd on my '7. It only happens when i shift the transfer case into 4wd (not when i lock the hubs and have the tcase in 2wd [thus, it is not front driveshaft vibration]) so i'm thinking maybe the transmision mount is soft or torque...

yep, cleaned the ports and block and about everything i could reach with all the junk torn out. spent 4 hours taking stuff out and cleaning and another 2.5 hours putting stuff back in and getting everything torqued.
