    gear ratios thanks for the recommendations. I checked out quadratec's catalog on line and they just seem to have gears for TJ's. I think I'll give them a call. The dealer was a good idea. If I get desperate, I will check them out. I'm thinking the dealer would be the most expensive...

    BDS lifts Ever since going to 33" tires and 4.10 gears, my speedometer is off. After living with it for so long, I've decided to change out the gear. Anyone know where to get speedo gears for a CJ? :?

    Confirming '84 - '86 CJ7's produced for sale in California, have a serpentine belt. I'm not sure about years prior to '84.

    4 lo hard to get into

    If you have a lift and lowered the transfer case, the reason it may be popping out of gear is the shifting boot maybe too tight. I had this problem on my CJ and ended up loosening the screws on the boot.

    I don't have a YJ, but I'll take a stab at it. Should the motor mounts be mounted in the down direction, not in the up as pictured.

    AC Compressor only runs for a couple seconds I'd like to add a Jerry can to my rear tire carrier. I have the "Warn Rock Crawler Tire Carrier" on my '85 CJ7. Are there any aftermarket brackets/mounts that would work? Other ideas would be helpful too.

    When you do the speedometer with the jigsaw, I would first apply painters masking tape over the area to prevent any possibility of the fiberglass splitting/cracking.

    Jig saw with fine teeth will work, but if you're looking for a cleaner cut/look I would use a regular hole saw.
