    28 mpg hyway in a CJ&?!?!?!?!

Tell me about it. Had to traveled down to Florida that weekend in an 8.1 L Suburban, lucky if we got over 10 mpg. For a while i thought that we were hauling gas from station to station b/c we stopped so much. At least in a jeep you don't have to worry about filling up every other day. I can...

    Blown out "clutch" knee

Don't ya hate it when that happens? I remember the dilema i had during 3-a-days for football, couldn't lift either of my legs. Those where some of the scariest rides home i had for a while!!!

    Update

Man, that really stinks. I know what it is like to have surgery on your knees. I'm glad that she was caught, i hate being who do stupid things like that. I hope that they fix your knee properly, best of luck.

That's cool that you got a GREAT deal on the box, i might have to look for one. As for the amp, it would probably be best on the inside like you first said, in case of a sudden shower :<. Let me know how it goes so i can decide on whether to buy one or not, thanx. Oh by the way, i'm the one...

    Speakers in Rear Soundbar

When I put my new stereo in the dash I was forced to include a new wiring harness to replace the factory. So the answer to any other wires is no, to my knowledge. For question #2, no I have not yet put in new speakers, but i am looking to possibly find some new ones this weekend. If you want...

    Speakers in Rear Soundbar

I believe so because I have a 98' TJ and I don't think there is much difference in the soundbar between the 2 years. They're great for some added bass because I have them and my stock dash and all I really hear is the soundbar. Plus, they fit easily in the soundbar because they have a shallow...

    Speakers in Rear Soundbar

This is what they look like. They're 6 1/2" with a shallow mounting depth so they can fit easily into the soundbar. They handle a lot of bass and power and are a great buy. It's also good to go ahead and change your stereo too so that everything works better.

    Top Down Yet?

Had the top down for the first half of the week, until some big storms started to roll through. We've had constant 70* weather with high of 80*before the storms came through. A lot of people down here have had their tops off, jeeps too.:purple: Man there a lot of tanlines around here

    Speakers in Rear Soundbar

Yeah, I have Alpine 6 1/2" Type-S in my soundbar, they install easily and sound great. The speakers are built with a rubber surround so that it can stand extreme temps, humidity, and the occasional rainshower. They're about $100 but they're worth it. Still looking to replace the dash though.

    mtx subs

Have you thought about a capacitor?

    mtx subs

The only problem with that is you can risk overheatting the amp. If you want to mount it on the inside, I would go for a vented box. What's the power rating for the subs?

    mtx subs

I've been looking to buy a a box for my jeep, but haven't been able to find one that i like. I would suggest just making your own so that you can fit more in the trunk. Also, look into getting the trunk cover so that nobody can get into your trunk easily. By the way what size do you have?
