My 89 Wrangler stalls and sometimes backfires. Any ideas?

1040972 I've got an old CJ-5 so I don't know crap on 89 Wranglers, but I'd for sure put my money on an electrical condition. Unless something is stopping your intake/exhaust which would have to be a loose foreign item or loose part since it's an intermittent problem it'd pretty much have to be...

    Keepin' (the top) clean

1040973 For pine tree sap use a degreaser it'll come right off, just be careful not to get something that is going to damage the vinyl i.e. brake cleaner. Probably one of the best things I can think of is WD-40. I'm in the Army and have gotten tree sap on my uniforms and I spray a little WD-40...

1040974 Anyone got a diagram for a '73 CJ-5 /w 304? I'm scared to mess with mine because I know it's not right, but it sure does run good being wrong. --Mike[addsig]

    Racing Stripe Removal

    1972 cj5

1041230 $2000 sounds like a fairly good price for a 72 CJ-5. I paid $3800 for my '73 CJ-5 but I also got a 304 V8, a warn winch, on-board air & very little rust. Engine size, extras, and condition all play an important part on the pricing of a classic vehicle. Check autotrader.com to price...

    Wanted hard/soft top for '73 CJ-5

1041232 I'm looking for a used soft top or a decently priced hard top (/w doors) for my '73 CJ-5. It's my hunting/fishing vehicle so I'm more concerned with functionality then looks. If you've got something email me at mwsimmons@clds.net. Thanks. --Mike[addsig]
