You won't have to make any adjustments at all. Just gives you a little extra room for your tires. What do you have for tires now?[addsig]

i would go with 1 - 1.5 inch shackles... 2" is getting large... but you can do it... also.. if you want to fit tires, if you have a YJ, you can trim your flares, or add TJ flares[addsig]

My 1 inch body lift DID NOT require any other modifications. Well I take that back, I had to move the fan shroud down an inch, but is that really a modification anyway? [addsig]

is a 1" body lift...say daystars a DIY project? or i need special tools and whatnot? I seen some that come with engine mounts..and ya know..liftin the engine to put them on would be no picnic[addsig]

on a scale of 1-10, its about a 2... undo one side, jack the body off the frame, put in the spacers, put in the bolts, i suggest using some sort of threadlock on them... do it to the other side... lower fan shroud, or replace it with an electric fan altogether, make sure its all in there... make sure it all shifts fine.. then go show it off[addsig]

Yeah I was lookin to put a 1 inch body lift on my '02 and get some 31's. Would I have to get a 1inch engine mount lift also? Is this a good idea a 1inch body lift and 31's on a TJ or should i look into another option? The reason i was leaning towards this option was cause it would be cheap.[addsig]

if i'm thinking clearly, adding an engine lift will only throw off the driveline angles and such...

body lifted 1" above frame, engine mounted to frame, driveline still good... if you throw in the extra 1" engine lift, you throw off the driveshaft.[addsig]

ok. this helps, but the only thing i'm confuse is how do i lower the fan shroud, does that come with the kit or does the kit tell you how to do it.

i have no problem with the 2" shackle lift exccespt maybe a little of vibaration, but very little.i'm runnig 31" general grabber(they are not that good.[addsig]

I just put a one inch lift on my CJ-5. It's not hard but I did have to extend the cluch linkage and inch as well as lenghten the steering shaft and inch. I tried to find ways around this, but in the end, I had to cut and weld.

So far I happy with lift, but I haven't had the chance to take it wheeling yet. I'm concerned about how it will respond on steep inclines and slopes.

easy... unbolt the fan shroud... unbolt the rad..( it's easier to do on the work bench then in the jeep) line the shroud up with the original holes then move it down an inch.. drill new holes... walla... put every thing back in the jeep and attach the shroud to the new holes... [addsig]

on a scale of 1-10 it is a negative 5, it had to be the easiest project yet. If you can't do this you need to buy a benz and give me your jeep. All I'm saying is it's real simple. Do one side first then the other side then the fan shroud. It's Simple you'll see. There are 11 body mount, find them and loosen them all first. Then I used a floor jack and a 8x8 piece of landscape timber about 8inches long and put it between the body mounts by the drivers side door and then the passenger side door. Boom bata Bing your done.[addsig]
