1980 cj5 with electrical problems

I have a 1980 cj5 that has been having electrical issues... When I turn on my lights everything goes haywire, the right side has almost all of the power, the turn signals don't work, and a hole list of other problems.... Anyone have any suggestions?

I would start by pulling all of the bulbs and cleaning the sockets, check, and clean all grounds. could be a bad light switch as well.

yes this is the best thing to do if all this is a new problem , bad bulbs and grounds in the sockets can screw everything up , and then check the headlight switch and flashers , dimmer switch is something to check as well but get all the bulbs and sockets first and you may be good to go

I will try the things you have suggested in the next couple of days... I have a brand new dimmer on their already though... I will post with my results.

Do the tail light bulbs too!!!!!
