2" lift shackles have no bushings,help

I orderd 2" shackles for my 89 jeep yj, there are no bushings,anyone know how i order new ones? 2 parts stores are not sure? whats up with that, a guy made a call and said they would be about $75. ouch, is he correct? will any of the aftermarket poly bushings work? with the aftermarket shackles?
any helpful info is much appreciated. thanks shadman

Be advised that you will have a difficult time driving in a straight line after installing those big shackles. It adds caster to your steering, and an alignment cant fix it. Been there, done that, took them back off.

I did mine about 4 months ago, got no problem finding the bushing (though you have to order it thru any local auto parts store) It took 3 days to get there. I got 2 set (front & rear) thru Auto Zone for $16.99 a set. It's the polyurathane bushing from Day Star. I guess you can get it any where like Advance Auto Parts, Napa....

Well, as far as I know I don't have a problem with it YET! , but who know?! I put a suspension kit along with the shackle lift so I guess some of the components from the suspension system corrected the problem (just guessing!) The steering system, however, is a little off. I should have a wheel alignment right after I lifted the jeep, but I plan on replace the tire very soon, so I just wait a bit. I did experience a little "bump steer" but nothing serious at all (at least on my term) I think the alignment will take care of it.

Finally ordered my lift

A small shackle lift (1/2"-1 ") wont notice as much of a difference, but if you are putting on an actual 2" lift shackle, you will see a difference. It puts too much caster into the steering, causing play in the steering and the jeep wont recenter itself as well after turning. Bump steer will get worse also. I had them on my jeep for 3 months. It was driveable, but it was soon obvious that it was temporary.

Totally agree with you, TwistedCopper! The reason I didn't get any serious problem probably is I put a shorter shackle on the jeep (1") and it kinda stretch the spring a bit (spring more flat). But like you said, it is surely temporary for me, I plan to replace the shackle either with a Tera-Flex or Revolver shackle as I do the SOA
