2000 Wrangler TJ

I have a 2000 Wrangler TJ with a turn signal issue............the left turn signal flashes the left front turn signal light like it is supposed to, but flashes both rear lights instead of just the left side. The right turn signal works just fine. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Two items to check. First push your hazards button in and out a few times. Sometimes water or dirt gets in there and causes issues.
Second check your lights power and grounds. It sounds like the right signal lost its ground and it created a path through the left.

Otherwise the multi function switch could be bad.

Could be a short in the wire. I know on a 97 TJ the wiring goes to the rear driver side light then to the passenger side.
