304 have a choke?

Just wondering...

it seems stock

When I start it up it idles pretty slow and never idles up like a choke is kicking in....

I guess does this beast have a choke? Manual or Auto?

Stock will be a metal tube from the intake manifold to the carb on the passenger side. The tube is bent in an "S" pattern and it is not uncommon to find them pinched, collapsed, or broken in two. I would check that first.

If that was the only problem the choke would come on and stay on as no heat would get through to the choke coil.
