2" Suspension System by 4Wheel Drive Hardware® and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH3
3" Suspension System by 4Wheel Drive Hardware® and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH3

As always money is an issue, I have a 2000 6 cylinder. I dont offroad too much, but will I be happy going from stock to a 2 inch suspension lift with 32 inch tires, or for a ton more money is it worth it for that extra 2 inches, especially messing with the drive train and possible SYE and all the extra stuff? Im totally new to this stuff, but I like to learn as I go.

Double the price for another inch not worth it.

If you want 3 inches do the 2" wit ha 1" body lift.

Have you considered a budget boost or RC 2 1/2 lift? There are some inexpensive 2in spring spacers and you could pick the shocks of your choice. Or RC is ~300 or ~400 with a 1.25 in body lift. There are others as well many like OME.

I bought the thing with 124k miles on it, i figure i may as well replace the springs and shocks rather than do the BB. What is the RC 2.5" lift, who makes that? And i had not considered a body lift. How difficult are those to do?

RC= Rough Country this is a link to Jeep lifts. Scroll down to see the one's I describe.

A budget boost will keep the same ride hard/softness you have.
The body lift (bl) is fairly easy. There are write ups and videos
for them. I wouldn't go over the 1.25 they offer. The hardest part seems to be moving the fan shroud, although some add a motor mount lift (mml) to avoid this and set up for a later tummy tuck (tt).
