4x4 Disc on front axel

I have to ask, are the hoses on the disc supose to be tight or lose, if I make them tight the 4wheel drive light won't go off, is there a switch for this or is it built in the disc.

A little late, perhaps. What ? Are you speaking of, the brake line's? The fittings on the brake lines? I'm guessing you have YJ (from your avatir) Answer? No! the brake line's (hose) should not be tight. There should be some slack for articulation! if, the lines are taught, you risk pulling them apart. That wouldn't be a good thing!. There not designed to be "limiting straps" The 4x4 light has nothing to do with your brakes. (I don't know if you have shift on the fly or not, I'll assume you do.) That system works off of vacuum. I was talking about the 4x4 disc on your front axle, there's 3 hoses on it are they supose to be lose or tight,if there tight the 4x4 light dose not go off,and yes it's on the fly.[addsig]
