What hard tops can be used on the 79 cj5? And if you have one for sale, I'd really like to buy it. SERIOUS INQUIRY HERE.

Starting at 76 but I'm not sure how far it goes. Early 80's I think.

I guess you know you can get a new one from Rally Tops? I was lucky enough to get one from the guy I bought my Jeep from. I've only seen a couple of used CJ5 tops since. I know a guy that cut a 7 top down to fit his 5. The top turned out great, doors not to good. I would prob just make the doors themselves. A thin piece of plywood and a soft door frame, then cover it in fiberglass. Paint it with a textured paint to hide the imperfections. Keep a check on craigslist and ebay, they do turn up. Gotta be first with the cash though.
