My truck started running pretty rough and stumbling so i took a peek under the hood, found vacuum leaks. I replaced 90% of the vacuum lines, the fuel lines, fuel filter, air filter, accelerator pump (which was worn out) and tested the vacuum ported switch with a shot of gum cutter. There are currently no leaks in the vacuum system yet it still stumbles. I still have the original motorcraft 2 barrel and it is a bone stock rebuild with factory specs.

any advice for what else to check?:?|

Does it have a miss? Has it been running like this since the rebuild, or has it run fine after the rebuild?

Which engine do you have?? Six or eight. Either way sounds like you sucked up some gunk in the carb. ( Fuel side )

grab the carb and twist and wiggle it to see if it is loose from the manifold. also, one time i had the pcv hose burned through on the bottom side where i couldn't see or feel or hear it and i only found it when i tore the intake off. good luck, john
