Ok I got a stock YJ with I think the 1 bbl. What can I replace it with without going thru a lot of BS. I just want like a stock replacement that will bolt right on. Thanks in advance.

Put a weber on it. The carbs on th YJ's are junk. I had mine rebuilt before I became informed on how bad they were and now I wish I would have thrown the thing away. [addsig]

Ok so if I have a 1bbl do I go back with a 1bbl weber. If so where is the best place to get one and about how much?[addsig]

Do a search for weber carbs and see what you can come up with. When ever I do something like this I like to talk to the company if possible and the go to the place you found with the lowest price. Or if you have some money laying around put a F.I. setup on it.[addsig]

What size engine are you running if it is a 2.5L you probably have a TBI rather than a carb! Just a thought Tug

Go with the weber I have an 88 YJ and it hasn't stalled yet. I paid 249.00 for the K-551 I think from Colling brothers jeep. They werre the cheapest. Everyone else wanted 315.00 - 375.00. Plus it will eliminate a lot of hoses and that ugly monster air cleaner assembly[addsig]

No Tug its a 258 6 cyl. Jay89 did it come with instructions on how to install it and can you still get it inspected with all the hoses gone?[addsig]

Here is the website for collin bros. www.collinsbrosjeep.com I actually got the carb from them on Ebay. It was new and came with everything you need. It comes with directions and a 800 number for tech support from Redline Weber. If you have any trouble just call them. It is fairly easy. I have not had to get it inspected yet. When I replaced my engine last year I got a 3 year inspection sticker so i'm not due til 2005. NJ[addsig]

the weber is the best alternative...by the way...you have a 2bbl...there hasn't been a 1bbl carb on a cj since 1974 i think. Good luck![addsig]
