88 cherokee starts then dies

Sorry that this is my first post but I need some help. My girlfriends jeep starts then dies. This has just started happening in the last few days. It will crack, start, then die but then will just start up and run fine all of the sudden. then other times it will take forever. I'm not sure where to start. I have read some forums and heard some things about the cps. could this be the problem??? Your help is much appreciated!

Could this be an Idle Air Motor problem?

If you are still having issues look into the fuel pump relay out on the pass side fender well,they go bad a lot .

does it stall when you're driving down the road or act like its losing power or wanting to die while running down the road as well or just when you 1st crank it up?
