RE: Re: RE: Beans or no beans in Chilli?

I can't find a local automotive place that has a diagnostic machine capable of retrieving the engine error codes nor do they know what "version" the diagnostic system is. Anyone know the name of the system? I only know of a few, odb1&2.

Also, anyone know of a place to get a factory repair manual other than the $89 from jeep?

Thanks,
Daniel

$89 isn't too bad for a factory service manual (FSM), they're well worth it if you do much wrenching.

I'm guessing it's OBDI, with the diagnostic port on the pass. side fender under the hood. But I've been wrong once before ;)

OBD II didnt come out till 96. You can also use the ignition to tell you the fault codes. Check out this link they have good info on the chrysler engines. http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/fault/index.html

if you want manuals check out www.autopaper.com I got a 2.5l powertrain diagnostics proceedures manual from them which chrysler says is out of print. it was something like 8 bucks plus shipping. the factory shop manual is the way to go in addition to the diagnostics manual.
