Can anyone answer or tell me where to find the answer to the following question? Are 93 YJ rear leaf springs compatable-fit onto a 96 Cherokee rear axle setup? THanks, Frank

They are not compatible. I know this 100% for sure. When I lifted my YJ, an XJ friend wanted my springs for the same reason... so I gave them to him, but they were the wrong length. It's a "no-go".

Thanks for the quick response guys and yes that was my intention hi_c. Frank

I hear the Durango makes a good donor for XJ springs.

I looked into that route. They will not simply bolt on to the XJ, you have to use the main and helper springs from the Dodge springs (dakota/durango) to use as AAL's. They are apparently perfect lenght for that use. At least that is what they told me on NAXJA.

The only drawback is you don't really know what hieght you will end up with until they're on the Jeep.

Get set of AAL's. Shorties for a firmer ride or long ones for a smoother ride.

I did the shorties and a lift shackle and I got almost exactly 4 1/2" of lift, although I expect it to sag some.
