I have a 99 Cherokee with a 4.0 engine that has gone to the bad. I also have an 89 4.2 that has recently been rebuilt. I was thinking to pull the head off the 4.2 and put a new 4.0 head on it and drop it in my Cherokee, but am not sure if there will be an draw backs to doing this. I use the Cherokee as a daily driver (in the mountains of North Carolina) that is mostly stock. Cherokee has an auto transmission and about 92,000 miles. Thanks for any insight anyone has.
