Hi all,
I have a 1999 Dodge RamVan 1500 with a 318 and automatic that I use for my work. I installed a K&N air filter when I bought the truck new. I installed a Flowmaster muffler about a month ago. Since I installed the muffler my gas milage has gone from 13.5 mpg to 8-9 mpg. with no change in driving conditions or style.
I have also now have a trouble code of P0107. "The PCM has determined that the manifold absolute pressure sensor or the barometric pressure sensor input is lower than expected for the current engine operating conditions."
I'm assuming that with less restriction in the intake and exhaust there would be "less pressure", I just don't know if the code will clear itself or the computer will "learn" and make ajustments.
Am I hurting anything and is there anything I should be doing?
Thanks,
Derrel
