I have a jeep 2001 grand cherokee laredo 4.7 security light is on and wont start and also cluster not working any help please

I know on my gc when the alarm goes off I need to unlock the driver door with the key to disarm it. Have you tried that?

On the cluster, see if someone "borrowed" some of your fuses.

I had this problem on my wife's commander and the key lost it's programming for whatever reason so not sure if you have a chipped key or not but if so might try another key or have a new one cut and programmed

The computer could have gotten a glitch. You can unhook the battery for about 15 - 20 minutes.
In the owners manual they may tell how to reboot.
