Anyone have the BFG Krawler's or heard anything about them?

I'm lookin at getting some tires for off roading next summer. I just bought some Yokohama Geolander all terrrains for the winter here. I've seen there BFG Krawler's advertised and they're supposed to be good for rocks but I'm wondering about mud. These tires look like they have too many large flat spots to be any good in mud. Also, the advertisements I've seen don't mention if they're steel belted or bias-ply. Anyone have anymore info on them? My friends run a shop that wholesales tires to most of western Canada but they haven't stocked these tires because there's little demand for them so they can't tell me much. But they do carry BFG so I can get them at cost. They swear by the Yohohama Geolanders.

every thing ive read about them is that they are great in rocks, and w/ their tread they would have to be pretty good in mud. and if im not crazy i *think* they are radials

Thats the only way i would buy them... at cost that is. Otherwise they run over 300 per tire! One thing I did hear about them is you can get them partially cut, so if you feel like chippin away rubber for a week, you can make the tread pattern fit YOUR needs...

They are way up there in price, and have limited sizes available. Last I saw the smallest available size was 35" or 37". Just not practical for the majority of wheelin.
