I'm goin need new tires soon and these Super Swampers look like a good bet. The tire I'm looking at is the Trxus M/T Radial 34x12.50r15. Are these anygood in mud/road/ice/rain??? A friend of mine has the AT version adn they do pretty good. Any one running these?

Several XJ owners swear by em. I've only seen one jeep TJ in them and he was ripping it up on loose dirt, and hill climbs.

I run Pro Comp Xterrains, and they are the best I've owned. They rule on dirt.

I'm looking at xterrains too because they're running another one of those buy 3 get 1 free deals. I've never talked to anyone who had em on their rig but by the looks I would think they are pretty good.

Yeah, I think it was Off Road Mag, who rated them #2 all around performance. It was Particularly high in loose to medium dirt/sand, and also excellent in Mud.

It was only behind Goodyear MT's, but those are a bit heavier. Weight was the deciding factor for me. They haven't failed me yet.

But remember, buy a non-directional spare. Xterrains are directional and aren't supposed to be driven backwards.

I have the TRXUS in 34x12.5 on my CJ and they kicked on the rocks at Paragon and in the mud and sand of the Jersey pinelands. A good all around tire with an honest 34" measurement. 8)

How did they balance for you?? I have a guy that put some on his xterra they must have half the rim covered in weights on one side. I know something is flat BS with that one tire, but even the others have waaaaay too much weight mounted on them. I know if you ask around you can find a tire shop that has the ability mount weights inside the tire. Similar to a tire patch, but weighted. Way cool for big tires.

Just curious.

You will get okay performance in rain/ice/snow, not as good as your buddies TrXus AT. You'll have him beat hands down in offroad tire performance, so it's a trade-off that is up to you.

It's been my experience that Swamper's radials balance much easier than the bias plys, so you should be okay with having the balanced easily.

I've heard that these tires are pretty heavy. I'm probably going to push my old dana 35 to its limits with a set of 34x12.50s. I'm not really concerned with breaking the POS. If they're as heavy as a 35" TSL i might just try my luck.

A friend of mine has 33" xterrains on his TJ and my 32" Bfg's are slightly taller!

A hot tub for camping.

They will be my next tires bought for my jeep. I love the Mickey Thompson Baja Claws off road but ware down fast on the pavement and we all have too much road to drive. Tug

Im running 31x 10.50 trxus mt they are great dont get the procomp x terrains if you do alot of mud. the swampers are way better. I was going through stuff better with theses tires then other jeeps with 33s. There relatively cheap too mine were 106 apiece not sure how much for the 34s

I bought them through my local Jeep guy already mounted and balanced. A few of the tires/wheels have a good amount of weight on them......oh well......I LOVE the tires. 8)
