Axel Flip

I used to own a Samurai and did a flip. Does anyone know if you can do it on a Jeep. If anyone has an 87 let me know if the axel is on top of or under the springs. Im picking mine up next Thursday and cant remember if the axel is over or under stock.

You can do the spring over on it. It is very simple to do a spring over on a samurai. Most of the things will be the same. With the wrangler you will probably need a transfer case shortening kit and a cv drive shaft for the rear. These are expensive. You could try it with just a transfer case lowering kit but I think it will vibrate.

I've heard that a spring over can end up being pretty expensive. I think you'll end up killing your stock springs pretty quickly, and have to get new ones. I think there are also some steering changes to be made, and probably longer brake lines.
