Axle over spring lift

I have a 79cj5 it has a 1"body lift and a 4" suspension lift I am wondering how much trouble it would be to put the axles under the springs I have a lowered pitman arm and have lowered the transfer case. What else would I have to change.

Never done it myself, but I think that you will at least need to weld pearches to the axle shafts.

I think that a spring over itself will give you around 4 inches of lift.

Heard that a spring over makes the leaves wear out faster.

i spring over alone will give you 7 to seven inches of lift. The only problem is it will tear your springs up. The other things to think about are. Steering you may have to change more things then you think. Longer brake lines. Welded spring perches. I am sure there are more. Oh yeh bigger tires. Good luck
