best motor swap for an 86 2.8L 6

hey, i'm in the market for a motor and trans to do a swap on my 86 cherokee pioneer 2.8L v6 and i was wondering if anyone knew what motor would be the best/easiest swap. i kinda want something newer and a little bigger any ideas? thanx -jason

inline six 4.0 is the best way to go they are excellent engines and will take just about any thing as long as you keep them maintained

thats good cause im considering buying a motor from a 95 xj 4.oL H.O. inline 6, the guy said it was an auto so im also wondering if it will bolt up to my manual trans on my 86..... whattaya think?
