i recently had to take out the heater box on my 2000 xj. i had no heat and after replacing the eater core and finding a crap evap i replaced that too. the problem ihave now is that the blower motor does not work ont he 4 position. it works on all temp modes and it works on all levels but 4. i changed the resistor before but when that goes bad i shoudl only have high and nothing below that. any help would be great

Check the 12V feed to the #4 circuit of the switch. the Highest setting if its 4 then that should be a 12Volt direct to the blower from the switch.
on my rig the no, 3 position keeps cutting out when the selector switch is in def/floor. for a long time i thought is was the fan switch but then i discovered that if i moved the selector switch counterclockwise a little the fan starts going again. i have not yet found the root cause, but hope this helps. good luck, john
