Body swap

I have a 1982 CJ5, the body of my CJ has a lot of rust on it. I have the opportunity to buy a CJ7 the same year, but it was in a front end colision the body and alot of other parts i need are stiil good. Will the body of the CJ7 fit on the frame of my CJ5?

Nope. Check the shape of the door openings... The 7 has a longer wheelbase, with some of that length being in that door area. It would interfere with the rear wheels and hang over the back of the frame.

Thanks Jay, could I use its V8 engine in my CJ5(Mine has a inline 6), Seats, dash and inst panel, roll bar ??? can they be inter-changed
