Brake pipes 96 xj.

Just a quick question, I need to replace ALL of my brake pipes because I have burst one and the rest are really rotten. Anybody know what size the pipes are and what the fittings are? are they metric or imperial.

Brake Lines. Not pipes. I had to do it, I suggest going to napa, advance auto parts, or where ever, and buy some straight lengths of brake line and just hend bend them best you can with out kinking or collapsing the line, also use unions and bushings to connect the lines together. Way easier to install, way easier to repair if needed. line should be 5/16. best thing to do is pull the line off and use it as a point of reference at the parts shop.

Thanks for that I'M glad you got what I was after as here we have brake pipes and brake hoses, I'LL have to get it mail order as my local store only sells metric sizes, one of the biggest problems owing a US car in the UK.
