i burnt the wiper motor in my jeep coming home from work the other day, i cant fold down my windshield cuz the hinges are siezed, i tried to do it last summer and i ended up breaking a hinge, so doing that is out of the question. I guess my only option left is to tear the dash apart, how much work am i looking at, and will i be able to get full access to the wiper motor wothout the windshield down

You can't get the dash apart without lowering the windshield to access all the bolts.

I'd just plan on replacing the hinges, access the wiper motor the correct way.

Damn, i was hoping it wouldnt have to come to that, those hinges are a pain in the ass to get off, i was doing some work on my buddies jeep and we had to grind down the screws and weld nuts to them to get em to come out, i have a set of stainless hinges laying around somewhere but i really wasnt looking forward to changing them anytime soon.

Yeah, what Bounty said. If I'm not mistaken, the wiring for the motor goes under the windsheild, which would have meant a hack job or moving the windsheild anyway.

That suxxs, both my wipers are dead..guess gonna have to take all that of. I was wondering if you need to take the winshield off to mount some speakers in the factoty housing??
