cant change the heat from defrost to the vents

I would think that there is a relay or fuse for the climate control but i dont know which one. I have a 03 grand cherokee and the heater blower is stuck on the defrost vent. I try changing it to the regular or floor vent and it does not move. Any help?

Is it a manual HVAC head or an auto zone control head?

i think the hvac. its three dials. one for fan speed, one for temp and one for vent location.

Ok so it's a manual control head. Do this; with the blower at the lowest setting, turn the knob for the mode doors from one mode to the other around 4 sec. increments while listening for the actuators in the hvac housing. If you hear the actuators but no change in the mode from its current position, then there's an issue with the doors itself. It's broken off the shaft. Try that first and let me know what you find out.

ok no action when moving the dial. I was talking to a neighbor who had a jeep and he actually told me something about a third fuse panel behind the dash. He said something about removing the dash to get to it though. He gave me a relay that he bought and never used cause when it happened to his jeep he traded it in instead of using it. Let me know. any help would be great. SOB the jeep just hit 90k and i am getting tired of changing all this crap but i to am looking at trading it in.lol

I don't think so. There are 2 fuse blocks in a WJ. One under the hood A.K.A PDC(Power distribution center) and another on the left hand side under the instrument panel next to the steering column A.K.A JB (Junction block). Both of them contains relays and fuses. Since your HVAC is a manualy controlled head, it would be a partially vacuum and electronically actuated mode doors. Check for a loose vacuum line or cracked line on the intake manifold. If that's all good, remove the HVAC control and locate the vacuum connector on the switches. disconnect the connector from the switch and start the engine. Listen for the presence of a vacuum leak from the lines. If there is a hissing noise, then the vac. line from the engine is good and the issue is within the switch or the vacuum harness that connects to all the actuators.

is there screws or do i pry it off. I dont want to break it...lol

No screws on the bezel, however if your not careful, the bezel will crack. Work on it all the way around as you pry it off.

Heater repaired. I thought i checked all the vac hoses. I didnt. I had my son take it to his diesel shop and the teacher found it. Also fixed a short that was causing my fan relay to keep blowing.
