i need your guys opinion on my carb dilema. I currently have the crappy 1 brl carb in my 1973 Cj5. I need to do something b/c it always stalls when rock crawling and won't start up if it is on a slope. Should i replace it with a 2 brrl or do they make a 4brrl that will fit. I notice they make a 4 for 1974 and up but not 73. Also anyone have any onpinion on switching to fuel injection? Thanks

I don't believe they make a 4 barrel to fit. The problem is you have a one barrel intake and it can only flow so much air. So even if you go with Webber 2 barrel you still can only flow so much. I am assuming you either have the 232 or the 258. Do you still have the emmisions hooked up on yours? You could always change the Intake Manifold. Its not really hard to do.

If you have a 1 brrl Carb, it's the 232 engine you have. I've never heard of a 4 brrl carb for this engine. I don't think you can convert to EFI easily, or at all. You could change the intake manifold as derff96963 hinted, but then it might just be easier to throw a V8 in there

tHANKS, I have the 232 engine and don't really want to replace it. I am happy with the power righ now for the most part and just want it to run incline.
