CD player - Anybody else have this problem?

I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty. I usually keep a CD in the CD player at all times. I've noticed the past few months there's been times when I've started it up that the word "disc" hasn't shown up on the radio and I haven't been able to play the CD or even eject it. Then a day or so later it's back to normal. Then all of a sudden it does it again.

Check the connections on the back of the Radio. If they are attached properly, then the problem is internal in the unit.

Welcome to the wonderful world of DC (nappy) CD players.
Your problem isn't unique, eject the CD when it allows you too or you could end up losing it permanently. I had three CD players do the same thing till I went with a aftermarket head unit.

The factory radio doesn't have that option.
