What does CJ, YJ, & TJ stand for? I have heard civilian jeep, yuppie jeep, and trial jeep. What is the true meaning ??? :-? [addsig]

CJ: Civilian Jeep
YJ & TJ: designations chrysler used to denote the different styles of Wranglers

That yuppie and trial/tough jeep thing is just to make the TJ owners feel better than their better, older syblings. :p j/k

YJ= Yuropean Jeep -- earning this designation because of its sleek "yuropean style" square headlights.

There is no '03 XJ. The XJs are cherokees, the KJs are liberties, the WJs are Grand Cherokees, ZJ I'm not sure about. There is an '03 TJ, WJ and KJ, again not sure about the ZJ.

the cherokees (XJ) were stopped production in 2001, and the libertys (kj) came out in 2002. big mistake in my opinion, but whatever.[addsig]

The ZJ is the old Grand Cherokee...Chrysler changed it to WJ when they did a remodeling a few years back.......so it was original XJ, YJ, and ZJ when Chrysler first took over Jeep.
