CJ5 Drivetrain swap 76 to a 78

We currently have a 78 CJ5 with the 4.2L straight 6 but it's wore out. Od stopped at 82k but I suspect closer to 200k+. Found a decent 304 v8 with 4-spd for a good price. Will they swap without conversion? Also what's another plug and play drivetrain?

The 304 with the 4spd should go right into the "78...both "76 & "78 used the Dana20 xfer case. The drive shafts from the"76 should fit too. I cant think of a better/easier swap.

Should be pretty basic, swap the v8 motor mounts.

You will need to change one motor mount, I think its the drivers side but not sure. The motor mounts bolt in so it should be to tough. You will also have to run the fuel line down the opposite frame rail to the carb as the line connection to the carb is on opposite sides, again pretty simple, the line should just unclip from the frame and bend, and reroute it over to the opposite side.
