CJ7 Bogs down

[Steel Panthers]

We have an 84 jeep cj7. As we're driving it Boggs down or dies. When it dies it will start right back up. I have already replaced the fuel pump and carburetor. What can I do now? Any help would be great.

I have only owned one cj of this era, so I may not be of much help. Mine did develop similar symptoms. Under the dash in the fuse box was a blown fuse that controlled something in the engine compartment (I think a pump for the carb), I replaced the blown fuse and the problem went away. this could be several things, timing, clogged gas tank, fuel filters(theres one in the carb I think), ignition module going out. my current jeep did this exact thing this spring and it was the filters.

You need to gather more symptoms. The question in mind would be , is it fuel or ignition related. For fuel issues, the related components would be fuel pump, fuel filter , lines and carburetor . Ignition would involve the ignition 12v to the switch, coil, distributor and ignition module.
